With hot summer weather in full swing, its no surprise that my go-to look is a fun and flirty dress. Its cute and comfortable, and makes you feel beautiful. Something else that makes me feel beautiful is my favourite colour: pink. Pink is romantic and feminine, and has the power to brighten up my day. According to Edith Piaf’s song La Vie en Rose, pink is a way life, and a way of looking at life. So of course, the dress that I decided to wear this past weekend was (you guessed it)… pink!

Last weekend I had the chance to meet the lovely and talented Mikayla Kuehn, creator of MAK: A Style and Beauty Blog. She is such a sweet and creative girl, and I am so happy I had the chance to get to know her. We went out to coffee in Yorkville and then explored the area, stopping by the new Christian Louboutin boutique, and visiting the Kate Spade store.  We even came across a cute flower stand in front of Club Monaco! Despite the hot and humid weather, it was such a beautiful day and we had a great time.

The dress that I wore is from Marciano. It has a ribbed sleeveless top, with a lovely silk skirt attached to it. I adore the flower pattern on the dress, as it reminds me of a watercolour painting. I paired my dress with ballet flats from Sam Edelman. They are a lovely light peach colour and have gold detailing on them. Moreover they are buttery soft, and have padded soles, which make them super comfortable.
