Golden French Manicure

I am going to New York City in a few days, and this past weekend I have been slowly getting ready. The first thing on my checklist? Get my nails done. I love French manicures, but I can only get them done when I go to the nail salon. I can never recreate that polished and precise line myself. However, this week I discovered a game changer: French manicure in a box! It is Sally Hansen’s Salon Effects: French Mani. I decided to purchase the golden glitter colour, and I must say, I am very happy I did.

For the base colour I used one of my favourite nail polishes, by the Swiss brand, Mavala. It is a beautiful ballerina pink colour called, “Rose” (#328). After letting my nail polish dry, I applied the golden nail polish strips, and then on top of that, I applied the clear strips. (Everything you need, including a nail file, is included in the box).  It only took a few minutes to apply, and once I was done with the application, I just filed away the excess nail polish strip. I was very pleased with the results!

This weekend I also purchased the loveliest teacups, by the brand Robert Gordon Australia. This canary yellow teacup has golden details around the rim, and is such a pretty addition to my teacup collection. Teacups add a little bit of charm to any room they are placed in. I especially adore how perfectly this teacup matches my French manicure.

I mustn’t forget to mention how yummy these strawberries and cream jelly beans were, as well as the heart-shaped peach candies. They too matched my new teacup very well. Overall, I had a lovely weekend, and my French manicure turned out very nicely, just in time for my trip to NYC! (Have I mentioned how super excited I am for that?) I can’t wait to share my upcoming adventures with you all! Do you have any fun and exciting plans?

All the best,

– Ema

  1. I cannot handle how adorable these nails are! It’s really hard for me to get the perfect French tips on my nails as well but this literally changed the entire game!! Thanks so much for sharing! Have fun in the city!
