A Trip to the Toronto Flower Market

Yesterday was the first Toronto Flower Market of the year. I had never visited the flower market before, and seeing as one of my New Year’s Resolutions was to “try new things” I promised myself that I would go. So I went to the flower market with a couple of my closest girl friends and we had a lovely day. We even ended our outing with delicious brunch at a French café and some shopping.

At the flower market there was a nice variety of vendors ranging from small carts selling popsicles to big and bold flower stands. There is nothing sweeter than being surrounded by flowers on a bright Saturday morning. If you ever need some cheering up, a flower market is the place to go.

The biggest and brightest flower stand at the market.

These purple blossoms smelled heavenly.
Some lovely daffodils basking in the sunlight.
A wonderful, flowery mess.
The cutest little cactus. Wish I took this fellow home with me. He’s quite photogenic.
A picturesque house on our way back from the flower market.

Beautifully presented éclairs at Nügateau pastry shop.

Overall, the vibrant colours of the flower market really boosted my spirits and brightened my day. I hope that these photos can do the same for you.

All the best,

– Ema
