Brownstones and Bright Heels

The architecture in Manhattan really impressed me. I noticed that the building designs range by neighbourhood, and each neighbourhood holds its own special charm and character. For the week that I was in New York, I was staying close to Grand Central Terminal, where the surrounding streets looked something like this:

Walking past the beautiful brownstones, I felt as though I was on a movie set. Ok, ok, knowing that Holly Golightly’s apartment was just a few blocks away from where these photos were taken probably had a slight influence on this feeling. But regardless, I went on this trip with high expectations of how New York architecture will look, and I was not disappointed.

The outfit I wore this day was a white bell-sleeved dress, pink suede heels, and a black cross-body purse. This dress was perfect for the hot and humid Manhattan weather, because it is made from a light cotton material that keeps you cool. I bought it from a small store in Toronto called Must Boutique.

I wanted to add a pop of bright colour to the look, so I paired my simple white dress with bright pink heels, and matching pink accessories.

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post, and I am looking forward to sharing more of my Manhattan adventures with you!

All the best,
